Born and raised in southern Oregon, Eric is the third oldest of seven children. Eric's parents were faithful to nurture him in the knowledge and fear of the Lord. Eric attended Seattle Pacific University to study biology in hopes of becoming a medical doctor. During his first year of college, however, the Lord directed Eric away from the medical field and toward pastoral ministry. Upon confirmation from mentors and through much prayer, Eric answered the call to pursue a life of ministry.
Eric graduated with a bachelor's degree in Educational Ministry with minors in Global & Urban Ministry and Youth Ministry. During the summer of 2014, Eric served as an intern to the youth pastor at his home church in Central Point, Oregon. It was during this experience that Eric gained an unquenchable fire for teaching and mentoring youth in their relationship with Christ.
Eric has always enjoyed being an athlete. He played college basketball and served with Fellowship of Christian Athletes for three years while at SPU. He continues to enjoy both playing and watching athletics. Eric is married to Brooke, who is currently pursuing a doctorate of pharmacy at Washington State University - Riverpoint in Spokane. Brooke's heart for ministry is readily apparent, and she serves alongside Eric in youth ministry. Eric is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
