Giving Forth Truth to the Next Generation
Our programs vary from missionary speakers to gospel quartets and beyond.
For example, in keeping with the vision of Fourth Memorial, Giving Forth Truth to the Next Generation, we heard from Director Mark Terrell of Cup of Cool Water. This is an organization that helps street kids exit street life in Spokane. Other programs have included, Director, Tim Mason of Riverview Bible Camp. Riverview has a long history of being an outreach to kids. Young at Heart also supports the Kids Camp at Riverview Bible Camp. Each month we take a “Noisy Offering” by dumping coins into a metal coffee can. This past summer we were able to provide scholarships for kids that otherwise might not have been able to attend camp. Many of those were kids from the immediate Logan neighborhood and while attending camp accepted Christ as their personal savior. This is a most worthwhile endeavor.
It is the desire of the YAH ministry to provide prayer, encouragement and mentorship to the next generation. Along with great speakers, we have had inspirational music from “Riversong," a singing group from Riverview Retirement Center; Christmas music program led by Fourth’s own “Scrap Iron Quartet”; and the Project Joy Senior Serenaders.
