Office Staff

Shelley Paulsen

Pastoral Secretary

Lowle was born into a Christian family and raised in the Minneapolis area. She accepted Christ as her Savior at a junior high winter retreat. After graduating from high school she moved to the Los Angeles area where she met and married her husband, Burl, who went to be with the Lord in 2005. Lowle worked as a bookkeeper for a cannery in San Jose, an advertising agency in Spokane and the family business in Spokane and Seattle before coming to work at Fourth Memorial Church in 1993 where she started as Camp Secretary & Receptionist. Lowle has one son, Jon, three stepsons, Greg, Paul and Barry, and several step-grandchildren. She enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her ‘family’ in the church office.

Shelley was born and raised just four blocks from Fourth Memorial Church by parents who were very active members of the church. She accepted Christ as her Savior at seven and was baptized at Riverview Bible Camp at 12. After attending Eastern College, Multnomah Bible College, and Kinman Business University, she worked as Executive Secretary to the President of NAPA. Shelley was hired as the children’s ministry director at Fourth in 1986. In 1995, she became the office manager and pastoral secretary. Shelley is married to Rich, who serves as a Christian counselor. She has two grown children, Paul (with wife Emily) and Linsey (with husband Ben), along with six grandchildren. Shelley enjoys time with family, gardening, reading, and being active in an outreach woman’s Bible study.

Dale was born in France to a military family and spent most of her life on the move. She met and married her husband, Marc, a Moody professor of Intercultural Studies, while studying Russian at the University of New Mexico. She and her family have done church-planting in Ukraine and started a non-profit Russian-language school for missionaries called Russian Language Ministries. They have three grown children and two grandchildren. Dale enjoys bird watching, family history research, cooking, and collecting antique lace in her free time.
